54-56 Peckham Rye are two adjacent properties in a mixed-use part of Southwark, close to Peckham Rye Park and well served by public transport. The scheme reworks them together to add new homes and bring more activity to the street.
The upper floors are converted into studio and two-bedroom flats, and the ground floor is extended. The development keeps to the height and scale of its neighbours, so it sits naturally within the existing streetscape.
Outdoor space is provided through balconies and terraces, both private and communal. The side alley is extended to give service access, with bicycle storage and refuse areas alongside.
Energy-efficient systems, green roofs and rainwater harvesting reduce the development's environmental impact and support comfortable living conditions for future residents.
